Fairwork says:
From 1 July 2025, the National Minimum Wage will increase by 3.5%. This means the National Minimum Wage will be: $948 per week, or $24.95 per hour.
Employees covered by an award or registered agreement are entitled to the minimum pay rates, including penalty rates and allowances in their award or agreement. These pay rates may be higher than the National Minimum Wage.
The increase applies from the first full pay period starting on or after 1 July 2025.
We’re working to update our tools and resources with the new pay rates close to 1 July.
Unfortunately you can’t set up or review the new award rates yet, they are usually only available just in time for payday. Don’t forget payrates for skilled workers could be higher than the national minimum.
The increase is for the first full pay period after 1st July, so it might not apply until Monday 7th July for your team.
