Australia and New Zealand have been leading the charge – with around half of small businesses already using cloud accounting apps. The rest of the world is still playing catchup, sitting around 20%, according to Xero.

Cloud accounting apps also allow small businesses to access and integrate business tools for small monthly fees. Many bookkeepers are now assisting clients to select and setup apps to run their business and streamline processes.
