March super contributions, must be received (by fund) by 28th April for employees (including working directors) and some sole trader contractors.
Severe penalties will apply for late payments – priorities this payment above other obligations! You cannot claim a deduction for the expense – not to mention the extra fines and penalties that are added on top.
Payments should be authorised by 16th April as it can take several days to process. (don’t forget to allow extra processing time for the Anzac Day public holiday and the weekend brings the deadline forward to Friday 26th April.)
