Worthy Wage Day

Your workers are worthy of being paid the correct wages – that is the award wage or higher.
If you are paying your staff a salary you need to run BOOT (Better Off Overall Test) to make sure you aren’t taking advantage of ‘free overtime’.

Annualised wage agreement rules have recently been updated by fairwork – annual reconciliations will need to be conducted to confirm employees have been adequately compensated for overtime, allowances, penalty rates and leave loading.
That means keeping timesheets. From 1st March 2020 18 awards are covered by the new rules, with more to follow.
