Federal Government program
From 1 July 2022 to 30 June 2024, the Australian Apprenticeships Incentive System will provide broad support to the economy through wage subsidies for eligible employers in priority occupations.
– A Hiring Incentive will also be available for employers of apprentices undertaking a qualification in an occupation that does not qualify for the Australian Apprenticeships Priority List.
– Additional support is available for women who commence in eligible trade occupations on the Australian Apprenticeships Priority List.
– The Australian Government provides additional support to Australian Apprentices with disability through the Disability Australian Apprentice Wage Support (DAAWS).

NSW based employers
You may be able to claim a payroll tax rebate on wages paid to approved apprentices and new entrant trainees.
If you employ an apprentice in NSW, you are entitled to a workers compensation premium reduction based on wages paid to your apprentice.
Continuing Apprentices Placement Service (CAPS) is a free service where employers can find and recruit apprentices and trainees unemployed due to economic downturn.
