October-December 2022 super contributions must be received (by fund) by 28th January.
Severe penalties will apply for late payments.

Don’t forget to arrange payment of your November IAS before you shut up shop for the year.
If you are unable to pay in full, contact the ATO on 13 72 26 to arrange a payment plan.

If you haven’t yet applied for your director ID, you’re in breach of the rules.
However you’ve been given a reprieve – apply by 14th December 2022 to avoid being fined (up to $13K).
It’s free to apply and you will only ever need one – regardless of how many businesses you are a director of.

October IAS is due 21st November (September BAS is also due this month).
Our clients should keep an eye out for the IAS to e-sign this week.

You need a director identification number (director ID) if you’re a director of a company, registered Australian body, registered foreign company or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander corporation.
You must apply for your own director ID to verify your identity. No one can apply on your behalf.

Your September quarter BAS is due soon – very soon if you lodge the paper form.

What do you need to do?
Nothing right now, your accounting software will do most of the work in the background – Xero is still building the features and has an extension to March 2023, so there is plenty of time to transition. We will complete the transition for our clients in the next few months (once all the kinks have been ironed out).
We’ll be in contact when we are ready to start the rollout, until then STP means Sit Tight Please.

Authorise September quarter super payments NOW!
All super should be accrued at 10.5% of wages and the $450 p/m minimum wage threshold has been removed.
July-September super contributions must be received (by fund) by 28th October.
*Late payments of superannuation are not tax deductible and fines will apply.

July-September super contributions need to be received by your employees’ fund no later than 28th October (don’t forget to allow for processing time).
Check your calculations to make sure all the new rules effective 1st July 2022 have been picked up before you make payment, so you don’t end up having to make a catchup payment (with heavy ATO penalties)
