Global Bookkeeping Week – what have we done all week?

What does a week in the life of a bookkeeper look like?

For us this week has included:
Ongoing bookkeeping services for our clients – managing their accounts emails, processing bills for payment, matching customer remittances to deposits, reconciling bank transactions, collating staff expense claims, preparing payruns, creating batch bills payments, generating management reports, creating sales invoices and following up accounts receivable.
Government support claims – helping our clients prepare their claims
– Preparing BASs. The September quarterly BAS is due on 25th November for our clients taking advantage of our extended deadline.
Onboarding new team members for our clients – we can send portal invites so new employees can complete all the paperwork online – no printing, writing, scanning, emailing (and that will minimise the risk of hacking)
Lots of meetings with clients and their teams on zoom and a face to face morning tea.
Client support – by phone, by email, online and in person. Helping clients with app integration issues, how to get the most out of xero and other issues that have cropped up during the week.
CPE. You can’t go a week without watching a webinar and they are much funner when you watch party with collegues.
Community – we support our bookkeeping and accounting community and they support us! Hosting a weekly zoom chat for people all over the world to come together, discuss a topic and debrief with like minded souls.
Back of house – we’ve spent time working on our business too. Updating our app stack, reviewing our numbers, networking & accountability group meetings.

Another big week is coming to a close! Next week we’ll be back to do it all again!
