October Cyber Security Awareness Month

The Optus debacle has reminded us that we need to do all we can do to protect the identity of our clients and their staff.

The easiest place to start is not to send any sensitive info by email – if any part of the email chain gets hacked, that info could get into the wrong hands.

We prefer to invite staff to the xero employee portal so they can download their payslips and request leave. This would keep their pay info out of hackable emails, but still let them access their history whenever they need to. The XeroMe app only allows your employee to see their own wage info – they cannot access any other data.
Let us know if you’d like us to set it up.

We are now using a program called Tanda for easy and paperless employee onboarding. No more paper forms – everything is completed online.
If your new employee sends their TFN declaration to you and you then send it to us there are 3 possible points of entry.
If they complete the paper version – that needs to be stored somewhere safe.

Sing out if you have any questions about how we can help you keep your employees top secret info out of the hands of baddies.
