October 2024
Here we are at the end of another quarter!
What do you need to keep an eye on this month?
Start by enjoying the day off next Monday!
Then celebrate being the boss (even if it doesn’t always feel like you are in control), then make sure you’ve paid all the super for your staff (& some contractors) for the July – September quarter.
And get moving on preparing your July-September BAS.
Then celebrate with some treats!

August monthly IAS due!
Don’t forget to arrange payment of your August IAS.
If you are unable to pay in full by Monday, contact the ATO on 13 72 26 to arrange a payment plan.

Tradesmen Day
The 3rd Friday in September is reserved to honour tradies – are you taking an RDO to celebrate yourselves?
Or will a day off the tools give you a chance to catchup on the books? How frustrating!
Contact us if you’ve decided you’d rather be on the tools than stuck behind the desk.

New look ReceiptBank / Dext coming soon!
Keep your eyes peeled for a sleek new look coming to your browser!
(Mobile app users will not see changes until a later date)

I want to start my own business!
Can you remember first saying it? Did you fully understand what you were wishing for?
What do you wish you knew back then?
Were you aware of what CEO really stands for? Its Chief Everything Officer – until you find the right people to help you manage everything.

September 2024
Not too much to add to your calendar this month after the excitement of EOFY.
Now that your June BAS has been completed, you can speak to your accountant about preparing your 2023/24 tax return.
And monthly lodgers need to make sure your August IAS is lodged and paid.

Literacy & Numeracy Week
Some of our clients say ‘I’m really not good with numbers’ or a more blunt ‘I’m a numbers idiot’.
If you are great at designing beautiful structures, decorating home interiors, helping businesses recruit staff or selling ice to eskimos, you should probably focus on that and get some experts to help you manage and understand all the other things that happen in a small business.
We custom design service packages for our clients that include as much support as they need, including meetings to read through the reports – in plain english.
Ask us to help you get up to speed with the numbers and reports for your business.

Taxable Payment Annual Report (TPAR) 2024 deadline
If you have a construction, cleaning, IT, freight/courier or security business you need to report payments made for service to your subcontractors to the ATO.
This is one of the submissions that won’t cost you any money (assuming you lodge on time, otherwise expect a fine).
Construction is very broad – it includes engineering services, architecture, communications construction, decoration, landscaping, retaining walls, swimming pool construction/installation, waterproofing and wallpapering.
Didn’t know TPARs were a thing? Ask us to help.
