Last Friday the Commonwealth Bank charged customers twice for purchases.
CBA say they have since rectified this.
If you notice duplicate transactions, please let us know so we can fix up in your accounts.

Bookkeepers and accountants looking to reduce time spent on manual tasks can join Nicole on Thursday 15th February 2024 to see how you can ‘streamline’ your workflows.
It promises to be insightful!

Australian Cyber Security Centre says:
Passwords are passé. It’s time to use passphrases instead.
A passphrase uses four or more random words as your password. For example, ‘crystal onion clay pretzel’ or ‘red house sky train’.

This time next week it all kicks off!

Bosses and employees generally exchange labour for cash!
There’s a bit more to it than that. They also exchange lots of secret data.
How do your new employees safely exchange their personal details with your HR team (probably you!)? Please don’t say email, its just not a safe way to transfer TFNs and other identity documents.
Holler if you’d like to chat about ways to reduce the exchange of employee data with strangers.

We’re back at the desk after a week at Xerocon.

Our office will be closed for the rest of the week so we can all attend Xerocon (coachella for accountants and bookkeepers).
How does this disruption benefit our clients?
We’ll come back refreshed with new ideas, more knowledge (and app options) and a better understanding of the world of small business.
See you next week!
