These days many people are working from home, at least some of the time. What do you need to consider as a small business owner?
Your OH & S responsibilities still apply, even if your employee is not in the office.
A study also completed by Australian Unions found that a staggering 42% of Australians working from home do not have a suitable workstation or even the correct equipment when working from home.

EOFY payroll – STP finalisation

Annual ‘STP Finalisation’ to the ATO by 14th July.
(This replaces providing Payment Summaries/Group Certificates to your staff
and submitting the Payment Summary Annual Report (PSAR) to the ATO.)
Staff will not be receiving any documentation, they will be able to access details in their MyGov account.

Increases to minimum wages

Some awards will get a minimum wage increase from the first full pay period on or after 1 July 2022, while others will get one from the first full pay period on or after 1 October 2022.

Super is increasing from 1st July 2022

Superannuation paid on behalf of ALL employees (including owners/directors) will increase to 10.5% for wages paid (bank transfer) on or after 1st July 2022.
The $450 per month threshold will no longer be applicable.
